In recent years, web browsers have tightened restrictions with tracking domains, significantly shortening their lifespan. This has made managing domains cumbersome and time-consuming, thus creating inefficiencies and delays that could potentially have a negative impact on traffic, revenue, and business performance.

Our new Domains Management feature addresses these challenges head-on. The feature empowers you to manage your domains directly within the CAKE platform, from adding tracking domains to purchasing SSL certificates, and accessing insights through detailed reporting. Overall, this tool equips you to navigate modern performance marketing’s complexities with greater independence and efficiency.

1. Add Tracking Domains

Users can add domains they own as Cookie or Redirect Domains, with the added convenience of an option to automatically purchase SSL certificates. This enhanced autonomy enables you to implement branded domains, significantly improving your ability to mitigate risks from less reliable traffic sources and boost overall traffic quality. Moreover, it serves as a strategic
defense against domain-centric tracking prevention mechanisms, such as Apple’s Intelligent Tracking Prevention (ITP).

2. SSL Management and Visibility

The SSL certificate purchasing process is streamlined, allowing you to acquire certificates directly within CAKE. The comprehensive Certificate Grid provides full oversight of your SSL
management. This integration simplifies certificate management, particularly beneficial for Proxy Users, by delivering complete visibility and control. As a result, you’re equipped with more
efficient and independent domain management.

3. Domains Report with Affiliate, Offer, and Campaign Drill Down

The Domains Management feature introduces a comprehensive report that enables detailed insights into domain assignments across various entities, including Affiliates, Offers, and Campaigns. This allows you to effectively manage your domain strategy by providing a clear overview of current domain utilization. With this information at your fingertips, you can make informed decisions about reassigning or eliminating domains based on their traffic performance, ensuring optimal use of your domain resources and enhancing overall campaign effectiveness.

We’re thrilled to report that the CAKE Idea Portal continues to positively impact our product roadmap. Today we’re sharing all of the exciting features originating from the CAKE Idea Portal that went live in Q2 2022, plus what is rolling out this quarter and beyond!

• Add a sub-affiliate in Mass Adjustment Tool: Save time by adding a sub-affiliate directly from the Mass Adjustment Tool.
• CAKE iOS Mobile App filters: Streamline the CAKE iOS Mobile App reporting experience by saving preferred filters that can easily be applied to all reports. This enables users to simply toggle between reports and use the same filters.

What’s next: Status updates

Planned features

• CAKE Android App: Leverage the app to measure the performance of campaigns and partners while on the go. The Android app will have the same features and functionality as the CAKE iOS Mobile App.
• Dayparting: Assign different rates to conversions based on the time of the day or day of the week.
• Postback/server-to-server integration with Facebook and TikTok: Leverage the new direct integrations for when you are buying your own media or working with partners to make direct server calls to TikTok or Facebook. Additionally, users can customize the integration experience by creating a server-to-server integration with any platform based on the credentials received on the inbound click. Users can also customize elements of the post itself.

CAKE pulls real-time exchange rates from Open Exchange Rates, Yahoo and Google!  Instead of having to manually update your exchange rate within the system, you can select one of the three options listed above and their current rate automatically populates into your CAKE instance. 

Benefits to CAKE Customers:

Rather than having to search for updated exchange rates, and then manually adding each individual currency into CAKE, you can select a location from a simple drop down, which will update all real-time currencies at once. Greater efficiencies and a streamlined process saves users time and allows them to dedicate their attention to optimizing their marketing investment and unlocking new business opportunities.

Important things to note about exchange rates in CAKE:
If no date range or exchange rate is found, the rate will become equal to your system's default currency.
Ex: If the USD is your default currency, and you have added no exchange rate for the Ruble, $1 will equal 1 Ruble.

Dates need to be matched to the exact start and ending date and time.
Ex: 8/1/12 12:00AM – 9/1/12 12:00AM
9/1/12 12:00AM – 10/1/12 12:00AM
If the date and time do not meet, the exchange rate will again equal your default currency.

CAKE also allows different currencies for Advertisers and Affiliates!  This means that you can receive payment in one currency, and pay out an Affiliate in a different currency.  (Ex: I get paid in USD, but I pay my Affiliates in Euros)

This makes international payments incredibly simple and painless for you!  All admin reporting can automatically convert to your system default for easy profitability measurements even when you’re getting paid in one currency and paying out in another. Without this feature, all exchange rates would be reconciled at the end of the month, prior to your Affiliates being paid.  This is no longer a necessity!  Simply input your Affiliate's currencies into CAKE, and let CAKE do the work for you.
